At Be That Books, we’re all about self improvement, self reflection and self go-getting. We believe that you really can do anything you set your mind to, as our authors Tina O’Connor, Eddie LeMoine and Mai Lieu can all attest. Through some simple (and not so simple) life changes, you can be on your way to a BETTER YOU in no time.
Here are 5 things to help you get started!
BE Growth Oriented – Commit yourself to personal growth by asking the hard questions. What are my negative traits? Am I typically late to arrive, arrogant or unnecessarily critical of others? The changes do not need to happen overnight, but baby steps to making some traits less negative.
BE a Role Model – The best way to become a better person it to be a role model to others. How can you be an inspirational guide to others? Live by example. In being a role model, it is important to remember it is not about making yourself into something you are not. It is about living your true ideal self.
BE a Better Member of Your Community – What communities do you belong to? What are your interest/hobbies? Recreational clubs? Church? There are many ways to be a better member in your community, all you have to do is show up!
BE Curious – Have an insatiable thirst for knowledge and never stop learning. There are always new things to learn, no matter how much you know! Take the next step and hone your current skills; there’s always room to improve.
BE Coachable & Cooperative – To better yourself, this is not a good time to be seclusive or insular. There is always something to be learned from working with others, no matter their age, background or area of expertise. Don’t close yourself off to opportunities because you think you know enough, open your mind and let every moment be a learning lesson.
BE the best YOU you can BE!
